Involved in increasing the efficiency of resource uses such as energy, water, and materials while also reducing building impacts on human health and the environment during the building’s life cycle. This includes both residential and commercial construction.
Involved in the production or research of chemicals.
Producers of merchandise or other item of common or daily use, ordinarily bought by individuals or households for private consumption.
Dedicated to education at any level, public or private.
Dedicated to conserving energy, finding more resourceful ways to be energy efficient, energy efficient buildings, industrial processes and transportation and helping control global emissions of greenhouse gases. Industries include: solar, wind, biomass, geothermal and hydro-electric.
Television, Radio, Film, Sport, Music, or any other media classified as entertainment.
Involved in the circulation of money, the granting of credit, the making of investments, and the provision of banking facilities i.e. Credit Unions.
Practice or business of making, transporting, serving, and dispensing prepared foods.

Individual Contributions (The Nina and Marc Merson Award)
An individual that has given (money, time, knowledge, assistance, etc.) to the advancement of sustainability, Green or eco-science.

Involved in the making of goods by manual labor and machinery.
Media, Travel, Leisure
A means of public communication reaching a large audience such as television, radio, and all forms of social media.
Dealing with the use of any industrial materials and capacities (mineral deposits and waterpower) supplied by nature.
Sellers of goods and products directly to the end consumer.
The occupations or functions of serving others. This category can include service organizations such as Chambers of Commerce, Economic Development Services, and Service Organizations.
The creation and use of technical means and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon such subjects as industrial arts, engineering, applied science, and pure science.
Transportation, Aerospace (The Rod Diridon Award)
Transporting, especially a vehicle: as a bus, cargo liners (ship), airplane, truck, or automobile. Including industry concerned with the use of vehicles for both the earth’s atmosphere and space.
Waste and Recycling
Treating or process’s (used or waste materials) so as to make suitable for reuse.
Any individual or industry that is different in nature or kind from the above.
