Who We Are Our Mission

The International Green Industry Hall of Fame recognizes pioneers, leaders, innovators, and visionaries who make groundbreaking contributions to a greener world. We preserve the rich history of great people and organizations by presenting an online Hall of Fame to the public.

Additionally, we help educate the next generation of green pioneers through networking, mentorship, and educational forums developed in partnership with major universities.

Our Team Board of Directors

Katerina Breish

Secretary

Katerina is a Business Management graduate and current MBA student. She grew up near Yosemite, inspiring her love for nature. As a Yosemite Guide, she shares the Sierra Nevada's beauty with visitors. Passionate about the outdoors, she joined IGIHOF's Board after volunteering in 2020, continuing her commitment to the environment.

Renee Chu-Jacoby

Vice President

Renee Chu-Jacoby is a Social Entrepreneur and Business Strategist who co-founded Jacoby Enterprises in 2002, focusing on start-ups and organizational development. She lectures at CSU Fresno and supports organizations aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals. Renee holds a Business Administration degree and an MBA from Fresno universities.

Colleen Ferguson

Board Member

Colleen has a passion for sustainability, ecology, and the natural world—a love reflected in her work as a poet and artist. Her extensive background in copywriting and digital marketing contributes a strategic and creative perspective to the IGIHOF Board, supporting their efforts to advance green industry innovation.

Adam Fromson

Chair

Adam Fromson, the new Board Chair of the International Green Industry Hall of Fame (IGIHOF), brings over a decade of experience in financial services and e-commerce. Passionate about digital marketing, he leverages technology for business growth, innovation, and sustainability. His expertise positions him to guide IGIHOF through the green industry's challenges and opportunities.

Sam Geil

Coach

Sam, Founder and Chairman of IGIHOF, also chairs Geil Enterprises, Inc. (GEI), where he launched the "Geil Green" sustainability initiative and led the company to 100% employee ownership (ESOP). In 2014, he founded Geil Consulting, specializing in strategic planning and sustainability integration. Sam's green industry involvement began with Grundfos Pumps and continued at GEI. He has represented California's green industries at the Pacific Economic Summit and is a certified Green Build Professional with a business degree from San Jose State University.

Austin Graham

Treasurer

Austin Graham graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a Business Management, concentration in accounting degree. He has worked in the public and private sectors, providing services for clients of all sizes. Austin started and ran a non-profit organization providing shoes to student-athletes in Clovis, CA. He is passionate about the green industry and helping the next generations learn more about how they can make an impact.

Robynn Huber

Board Member

Robynn is a soon-to-be honors graduate of Fresno State with a degree in Business Administration, Management and a minor in Chemistry. Growing up in an agricultural family in California’s Central Valley instilled a deep appreciation for the environment and all that it provides for its communities. Starting as a student volunteer, she continues her work with IGIHOF as a Board Member.

Tom Bowman

Board Member

Tom Bowman, an IGIHOF inductee, helps organizations enhance public engagement on health and environmental issues, making social and environmental change central to their missions. Founder of Bowman Design Group and Bowman Change, Inc., his firm won awards for sustainable practices. He's also the author of The Green Edge and a frequent public speaker featured on NPR, CNN, and in leading publications.

Paul Williams

Board Member

Paul Williams, founder of MediaLine Communications, has over 30 years of experience in strategic communications and public relations. He has designed award-winning media campaigns for various industries, coached CEOs and celebrities, and co-authored the New York Times bestseller Off Balance with Dominique Moceanu. He holds dual degrees from UC San Diego.

Eva Moraga

Advisor

Eva Moraga is a seasoned marketing professional with a focus on the food and beverage industry, working with brands like Mission Foods and Jarritos. She holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management. An avid hiker, Eva is passionate about sustainability and combines her love for travel with outdoor adventures.

Michael Ben-Eli

Advisor

Michael Ben-Eli's work involving the application of cybernetics and systems thinking to various management-related settings is considered groundbreaking, as are his acclaimed Five Sustainability Principles. He was an associate of R.Buckminster Fuller, with whom he researched advanced structural systems as well as conflicts related to the management of global resources and technologies. Today, Mr. Ben-Eli focuses primarily on issues related to sustainability and sustainable development.

Michael Gallagher

Advisor

Michael Gallagher, an IGIHOF advisor, began his solar energy journey with REC Solar in 2007 after watching An Inconvenient Truth. He has since helped over 300 homeowners switch to solar, leading sales teams that achieved over 30MW in installations in 2021. Passionate about environmental change, Michael advocates for eliminating emissions and creating economic opportunities. He joined the IGIHOF Board in 2018, supporting efforts to recognize and promote green industry leaders and drive impactful societal change.

Charlie Harris

Advisor

Charlie Harris, IGIHOF Vice President, co-founded Life Flower, LLC, which focuses on ecosystem solutions and regenerative farming. He is a certified Green Building and Sustainable Designer with a background in architecture from UC Santa Barbara. Passionate about eco-friendly practices, he advocates for a resource-based economy and supports community collaborations.

Bernardo Herzer

Advisor

Captain Bernardo Herzer is Founder and CEO of LEHR Incorporated, where he developed, patented, and commercialized the use of eco-friendly propane canisters for small engines. Previously he was a ship captain, where he became aware of the devastating impact of commercial fishing on marine ecosystems and also discovered the environmental benefit of utilizing propane over gasoline. Observing environmental destruction inspired him to commit his career to finding more environmentally-friendly solutions for retail and commercial products.

David Miller

Advisor

David B. Miller, an employee-owner of Alpine Bank for 20 years, is a leader and creative problem solver who collaborates effectively with people to leverage Information Technology to help organizations achieve their mission or corporate goals. His proven strengths and abilities include strategic analysis, synthesis, innovation, business development, teambuilding, effective communication, general management, and IT developed through more than 40 years of combined IT, business, banking, and consulting experience.

Nancy Wahl-Scheurich

Advisor

Nancy Wahl-Scheurich, an eco-entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in international marketing and business development, is committed to sustainability and social justice. Currently with the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts (CARCD), she supports efforts to protect California's natural resources. Previously, she co-founded Millennium Microgrid, providing clean energy to rural Sub-Saharan Africa, and founded LittleFootprint Lighting, known for its award-winning, eco-friendly HeronLED Personal Task Light made from recycled e-waste in the USA.

Jim Kor

Advisor

Jim Kor, a Mechanical Engineer from the University of Manitoba, founded KOR Product Design after a decade designing farm machinery. KOR is now an international design consultancy serving clients across various industries, including agriculture, automotive, and aerospace. Known for merging engineering and industrial design, KOR has pioneered sustainable transportation projects, including the Urbee, leading to the creation of KOR Ecologic. Jim, originally from Amsterdam, now lives in Canada with his family.
